Yes it’s true, after April 2016 it will be illegal for any dog over 8 weeks old not to be microchipped. This is great as microchips allow us to identify lost and stolen animals so we can get them back to you quickly and easily. Don’t fret though microchipping your pet couldn’t be easier. Book an appointment with us and we will insert a tiny (grain of rice sized) chip under the skin between the shoulder blades. It is a really quick procedure and is well tolerated by most. It only costs £10 and we register all your details on a national database so that if something happened to your pet you can be contacted. Then all you need to do is keep your details up to date on the database.
